Give back by giving blood! Become an advocate for blood donation at your high school to earn cool perks and leadership experience.
Leaders for Life is more than a club. It’s an opportunity to save lives, gain leadership skills and become an influencer for good in your community. No matter how you choose to participate, your activism and advocacy will benefit both you and your community. It’s always a great day to make a difference.
If you’re afraid of giving blood or getting more involved, don’t be. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

How to Earn a Leadership Cord:
Students who earn (6) six credits through the service opportunities below will earn their Leadership Cord:
Donating blood (deferrals included):
- Whole blood donation = 1 credit
- Double red donation = 2 credits
- Summer donation (June - Aug) = 2 credits
AND/OR
Completing Versiti service hours*:
- 2 service hours = 1 credit
*See your Versiti Account Representative or Blood Drive Coordinator for service opportunities. Upon completion of (6) six credits, high school students should visit www.versitileadersforlife.org to request their leadership cord no later than April 15th. (Students may submit if they will complete missing credits by end of school year by using the ‘honor system’).
